AIMA now accepts a tax-office address certificate — and no longer takes the junta one
AIMA will now accept the Certidão de Domicílio Fiscal from the tax authority, issued less than 30 days ago, as proof of address for residence permit applications. The atestado de morada from the Junta de Freguesia is no longer accepted for this purpose.
Why it matters for your move
Proof of address is one of the most common reasons a file gets rejected, and the document people were told to bring for years has just stopped counting. If your appointment is coming up, swap it before you go.
