Your official address registered with Finanças. It is changed at Portal das Finanças, with a confirmation code sent by post.

Where people slip: this address decides where official letters go — including the IRS settlement note with a payment deadline on it. People move flat, never update it, and find out months later that a letter went to an address they left. It also carries weight in how your tax position is read: a fiscal address still abroad, held through a representative, keeps you looking non-resident on paper.

Do this: update it as soon as you move, and make sure someone can receive post at the new address — the confirmation code arrives there, and without it the change does not complete.
