Deferimento

Deferimento is the decision that approves your application — literally "granting". Seeing pedido deferido in the AIMA portal means the case is won.

It does not mean it is finished. The residence card is produced and posted afterwards, and AIMA publishes no guaranteed delivery time — this is the single most repeated question among people going through the process, and there is no official answer to give. Plan in months, not days.

Keep the deferimento notification. Until the card physically arrives, it is your only proof that the permit exists.
