Comprovativo de alojamento
Proof of where you live — asked for at every AIMA appointment. What counts depends on your relationship to the home:
You own it: permanent land-registry certificate (certidão permanente) or its access code. You rent it: the lease with your name on it, plus the previous month's rent receipt. You live there free of charge: a comodato contract plus the registry certificate.
🔴 If your name is on none of those — you rent a room, you live with relatives, you are a hóspede — AIMA asks for two things instead: a declaration signed by you under oath (address, property registry number, on what basis you live there, plus the owner's name and NIF), and a certificate of fiscal address from the tax office, issued less than 30 days ago.
Note what is not accepted: an atestado de residência from the junta de freguesia. Plenty of guides and forum answers still recommend it.
